PrINSETTERS League Officers and League Rules
League President and Secretary:
1. Board of Directors will be comprised of League Officers and Team Captains. If a team captain cannot attend a meeting, any one league member from that team may attend the meeting and vote the captain's proxy. No league officer may be a team captain. The Board of Directors shall have full authority to handle all business for the league, including resolution of controversies and disputes. All matters to be decided with a majority vote and decisions shall be final. Any rule change requires a unanimous vote.
2. The league will bowl every other SUNDAY with a pre-announced weekly schedule. Position Round(s) will be determined based on the number of sessions bowled.
3. Bowling will begin promptly at 6:00 pm with practice starting at 5:45 pm. A player arriving late may bowl providing that the last ball of the 5th frame for both teams has not been rolled.
4. The league will consist of 14 teams (if available).
5. Weekly league fees per bowler will be announced prior to first week of bowling. League fees for the last week of bowling will be prepaid 2 weeks prior to the final week, or as required by the Bowling Center. Withdrawal Form to be signed by the President and Secretary no later than 2 weeks before the final session of bowling, or as determined by the Bowing Center.
6. In the event that a bowler is absent or has prebowled, the bowler will be required to pay the full amount of the weekly bowling fee the following week. Team captains are responsible for the collecting and delivering team fees to the Secretary by the 5th frame of the 1st game. Payment must be made each week when the player bowls or the team will forefit all 7 points. One-week grace period will be granted with no consecutive grace period allowed.
7. Handicap will be 90% of the difference between the bowler's average and 200.
8. A legal line-up must be present before the last ball of the 5th frame has been rolled. A legal lineup must include at least 1 player from a team's current roster; prebowls are included in determing a legal line-up.
9. Vacancy scores will be 125 for both men and women.
10. An absentee score will be the missing bowler's average minus 10 pins if no substitute is used. The absent average with the most number of games will be used. Tiebreakers will be the highest average.
11. A bowler's average is established upon completion of his/her first 3 games. Handicap is figured off of a 3 game average and the first night of bowling will be handicap.
12. There will be 7 points per night: 2 points for each game and 1 point for total pins.
13. When a game is declared a FORFEIT, the team present must bowl within 40 pins of the team average in order to win points. If a team bowls unopposed the 1st night, they must beat the vacancy scores.
14. If a member has to resign from the league, a two-week written notice must be given to the Secretary and BZ Lakeside. If there is no one to replace the resigning bowler, the resigning bowler is required to pay for those two weeks of league fees.
15. Roving subs will be allowed. No subs allowed for Position Round.
16. Unlimited prebowling/postbowling will be allowed for the season. No prebowls or postbowls allowed for Position Night. Post bowling will be allowed, but must be done before the next league night. ALL Prebowls and postbowls must be scheduled with BZ Lakeside in advance. Call 636-225-2400 for reservations. You will get a form to fill out to turn in when you are finished to record your scores.
17. One lane courtesy - When two bowlers in corresponding positions in the lineup of opposing teams are ready to bowl, the bowler on the right is to bowl first. If the pins are not set up for the bowler on the right lane, the bowler on the left may wait until the opponent's pins are properly set.
18. Any sesson to be canceled due to weather will be decided by the league officers no later than 4:00 pm. League officers will notify all team captains and BZ Lakeside Lanes of such action no later than 4:00 pm.
BZ LAKESIDE WILL NOT CASH CHECKS.
You may pay your League fees with a check made out to your league. "PrIN-SETTERS" Accepts full responsibility for all checks accepted in their name.
No outside food or drink may be brought into the center. No smoking allowed in the bowler's area.
